Good Catch Monday Summer Wellness

Today's 'Good Catch Monday' has an important message from Dr. David Mayer, VP of Quality and Safety for MedStar Health, that is good advice for all of our wellness so I thought I would share it with you:

Today's Associate Safety Tip Comes from the MedStar Health Systems Office
Being an avid runner who enjoys running outside, one of the safety tips I wanted to pass on has to do with remaining safe while exercising in the summer months. Exercise is an important part of our work-life balance, and the summer heat presents the need for additional precautions while exercising-such as a focus on hydration, wearing workout clothes built to wick away sweat versus trap it next to the skin, and moving exercise routines to early morning or later in evening.

Following is a link to a webinar sponsored by our EAP next Monday, July 20th that covers additional tips for exercising when the outdoor temperatures begin to rise. Tune in to learn more!
