The Study Information Portal: A New Way to Find Research at MedStar

I’m excited to share a new resource for finding clinical trials throughout MedStar! Several years ago, we launched our Clinical Trials Management System, OnCore, for the research that is happening across the system. One of the benefits of this system that was most interesting to me was the ability to have the information about currently enrolling trials embedded on our website.


When you click on a protocol number,
more information is available to the
user about the study.
The new Study information Portal is updated in real-time with OnCore. It allows users to browse by PI, location or age group or use the search field to find studies by research area. It’s a great resource for patients who are looking to participate in research and for clinicians to find potential studies for their patients.

If you find a study you are interested in, you can find more information by clicking on the protocol number. 

The portal is accessible directly from the MHRI homepage, with the blue button that says “Find a Trial”.

World Medical Innovation Forum 2018

Medical knowledge is increasing at an exponential rate, so as of 2018, it is doubling every 73 days! I find that hard to believe but certainly agree that it is humanly impossible to stay current on all aspects of healthcare just by reading more or attending more conference. We must use team science and interdisciplinary models of care. We also must embrace technology solutions. Therein lays the power of artificial intelligence in healthcare. MedStar Health's Upcoming Advertising Campaign!

It's a great time to feel proud to be a part of the MedStar system!  I'm very excited to share with you MedStar Health’s multimedia advertising campaign that will launch Monday, December 15 in the Washington, DC and Baltimore regions.  The campaign, which will run through mid-February, features 30-second TV commercials, print and digital advertising, as well as social media.  The goals of the campaign are to: 1)     Enhance MedStar Health’s reputation as the trusted leader in caring for people and advancing health 2)     Continue building MedStar Health’s brand awareness and, ultimately, consumer preference. 3)     Spotlight key service lines in the Washington, DC region. 4)     Promote MedStar Health as an integrated healthcare delivery system by highlighting our strengths: our people, comprehensive services, expertise, innovation and technology.
