Feelings Throughout the Pandemic

When the pandemic began, we moved from in-person to virtual MHRI Town Halls.  While I miss seeing people within their own clinical setting, the virtual Town Halls allows all MHRI associates, from across the system, to come together at one time.

At the beginning of each Town Hall, using a audience response system, we ask our associates a simple question: "In one or two words, how are you feeling today?"  The real time responses are fed into a word cloud that helps frame the meeting.

Below are the results from the last 6 Town Halls.  As you can see, the most common feeling moved from anxious to hopeful, from busy to exhausted and with optimistic and exhausted sprinkled throughout.  I was pleased to see that 'strong' rose to the top feeling a few weeks ago, which shows the resilience our the MHRI team and the dedication to advancing health through research.

Thank you to all the associate who shared their feelings with us. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication, for staying strong and staying safe - together we are not just making it through this pandemic but becoming a stronger research institute!
